standing in the neediest areas of our city, surrounded by hopeless people and then watching as the power of love and joy fills people with hope and destiny! This is the transforming power that God releases through Stephen and Linda Tavani and the volunteer teams at the incredible ministry outreach called WOW JAM.

… Throw a party with free food, music, drama, games and prizes…love people…repair bikes, give free haircuts, help kids play in the bounce house and provide  practical needs, such as career counseling and health and wellness information.

… Mobilize volunteers through-out the Baton Rouge area to bring hope to the hopeless and life to the lost living in one of Baton Rouge’s most challenging neighborhoods.

… Share with every person that attends that God loves them just as they are and has a distinct purpose for their life.

on March 10th @ 4pm When you arrive at a WOW JAM,  you will feel and sense an expectancy in the air.  Volunteers will be moving in many directions, tables and tents will be set up and then streams of neighborhood people will be arriving for a party organized just for them.  Children will play and get their bikes repaired, men will get their hair cut and women will get a free make-over all while feeling a stirring in their hearts.  The power of God’s love will be at work before a song, a drama or a message is ever presented.   Come be part of a day when Heaven will touch a corner of our city.

Welcome to River Ministries International online!

The Spirit of the Lord is upon RMI because the Lord has anointed Pastors Butch and Susan LaBauve to preach the Gospel to the poor “carnal”, to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captive, recovery of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty those who are oppressed. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19) RMI is called to present Jesus Christ alive to the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area and surrounding cities. This is being accomplished by internet, literature, advertisement, outreaches, personal relationships, Miracle Gatherings, and in the future radio and television.

Smile is a short film created by the church, with the church, and for the church. Keep in mind, the church isn’t in a particular building. The church is the people! That means you!

The original idea was honestly just to make people smile! We thought, “well… smiles are contageous. So what better way to make people smile?”
